El condicional de perfecto

[A] Se forma con would/should y el infinitivo de perfecto:

Afirmativa: I would/should have worked; you would have worked etc.

Negativa: I would not/should not have worked etc. 

Interrogativa: would/should I have worked? etc.

Interrogativa negativa: should I not have/shouldn’t I have worked?; would you not have/wouldn’t you have worked? etc. 

[B] Se usa:

(a) En las oraciones condicionales (ver 221-9).

(b) En usos especiales de would y should (ver 230-237).

(c) Como equivalente pasado del futuro perfecto:

  • I hope he will have finished before we get back.
  • I hoped he would have finished before we got back.
