[[A] must, ought to y should pueden utilizarse para dar consejos; en estilo indirecto pueden permanecer sin cambios o ser trasladados por advise + objeto. [B] you had better va seguido de infinitivo sin «to» ; had better puede usarse con la tercera persona. [C] if I were you I should/would se acorta a menudo en I should/would con un ligero acento sobre I; en estilo indirecto se traslada por advise + objeto. [D] I advise/would advise you puede ir seguido de infinitivo o de gerundio. [E] why don’t you …? puede ser consejo o sugerencia. [F] it’s time you va seguido de tiempo pasado. ]
